Three students demonstrate how to fold an American flag. Two students hold the flag lengthwise, flat. They fold the flag in half with the stars on the bottom of the fold. Then they fold the flag a second time, gently pulling it taut. A third student keeps her arms under the flag as one of the students begin to fold small triangles down the length of the flag towards the student at the other end. The purpose of the third student is to keep the flag from falling. When the flag has been folded in triangles down it's length, the students tuck the ends into the folds of the triangle and the flag is completely folded.
